Design Thinking For Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs - OYB 04

Instructor: Prof. Aline Wolff, Ph.D.

In this class, you’ll learn the basic principles of Design Thinking for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and practice applying those principles to real businesses – including your own current or future business. Using design thinking will help you understand how empathy for customers is at the core of the design thinking process. You’ll also learn how to generate and test new business ideas and build on them systematically. In a business world where change is sometimes the only constant, learning how to develop new ideas is a pathway to success.

About the instructor: Prof. Wolff focuses both on the academic and the practical side of management, and has coached numerous start-ups and entrepreneurs. She taught for more than 20 years at the NYU Stern School of Business, and has worked and consulted for organizations as varied as Goldman Sachs, IBM and Training/Vision Inc (Singapore).
