Designed to support teachers to incorporate research-based literacy strategies into a curriculum, for students to become more active, independent learners. The course aims to extend teachers’ practices as they learn to strengthen students’ meaning-making processes in all content areas so that all students increase their independence in learning. A large variety of reading and writing strategies will be presented in an interactive format so that participants will experience the use of the strategies with various forms of text. This course is for 3 graduate-level credits through Fitchburg State University, or for non-credit Professional Development Points.

October 1 - December 10, 2019
10 Tuesdays + 3 Thursdays, 3:30pm-6:30pm + Blackboard access (37.5 hours)

Tuition - Graduate Course (3 credits): $662* [DO NOT CHOOSE THIS OPTION UNLESS YOU HAVE JOINED THE MASTERS PROGRAM COHORT]
Fee - Non-credit (PDPs): $295
Textbooks - $70 (This must be paid in addition to either choice after you register.)
