Instructor: Prof. Aline Wolff, Ph.D.

Whether you are the owner of a small, local business or work for a large international organization, you should know the basic principles of management that this class introduces In this class, you’ll learn about how to manage both up and down to become successful in any type of business. You’ll be introduced to communicating as a businessperson in writing and speaking. Most important, you will leave the class with guidelines about how to manage your business life more effectively: your team, your investors, your customers and your vendors.

Prof. Wolff focuses both on the academic and the practical side of management, and has coached numerous start-ups and entrepreneurs. She taught for more than 20 years at the NYU Stern School of Business, and has worked and consulted for organizations as varied as Goldman Sachs, IBM and Malcolm Pirnie Engineering.
