Conversational Spanish: Communicating through Real-World Experiences

Instructor: Lorena Crespo

Come learn Spanish! Engaging in extensive conversation with a native speaker and seasoned teacher is a wonderful way to learn. This course welcomes both beginners and beginner-intermediate speakers. You will learn the tools necessary to communicate effectively in a variety of settings. Topics will include: greetings, the alphabet, counting, the weather & temperature, time and days of the week, months of the year, and seasons. Students will also engage in mock sessions, which include a trip to the hospital/doctor's office, a trip to the bank, and a trip to the supermarket. These lessons offer tangible tools that will help you communicate in real-world situations.

About the instructor: Lorena Crespo has an M.Ed. from Fitchburg State University and is a Spanish teacher at the MV Public Charter School. She is from Guayaquil, Ecuador and has been living on Martha's Vineyard for thirteen years. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, Lorena understands the process of learning a foreign language.
