Conversational Brazilian Portuguese
Instructor: Robert Ribeiro 

Come and learn Brazilian Portuguese! Engaging in extensive conversation with a native speaker and seasoned teacher is a wonderful way to learn. This course welcomes both beginners and intermediate speakers. You will learn the tools necessary to communicate effectively in a variety of settings. Topics will include: greetings, the alphabet, counting (0-100, by 100s, by 1000s), weather & temperature, time & days of the week, months of year & seasons, how to speak at a hospital (i.e. name, insurance, address, phone number, etc), speak at a bank (i.e. savings account, checking account, deposit, withdrawal, loan, opening an account, closing an account, documents, identification), and speaking at a supermarket (i.e. food items, paying with cash, debit, or credit). 

About the instructor: Robert Ribeiro received his degree in mathematics from Federal University in Minas Gerais, Brazil. He is a Brazilian native and has been living in the United States for 16 years with is wife and two children. He currently works at the MV Preservation Trust. Robert enjoys teaching and is looking forward to helping bring community together through his Brazilian roots.
