ONE-YEAR is designed to introduce students to a broad knowledge of the functional aspects of a company and prepare students to contribute to business discussions and decision making. Students will participate in [approximately] 60 hours of instruction over the course of one academic year.

ONE-YEAR students have a choice of any 6 (six) classes in our year-long business program for just $850, a significant discount from individual class fees of $150-200 each.


OYB 01: Intro to Business: Strategy, Implementation & Execution

What are your business goals? Let us help you reach them. Learn business terminology, how to write a business plan, present your ideas, and build an internal and external team. Plus, learn the steps in organizing a business, the legal structure of a business, and what licensing and permits you will need.

OYB 02: Introduction to Quickbooks*

OYB 03: Principles of Management

Whether you are the owner of a small, local business or work for a large national organization, you should know the basic principles of management that this class introduces. In this class, you’ll learn about managing both up and down to become successful in any type of business. You’ll be introduced to effective business communication in writing and speaking. Most important, you will leave the class with guidelines about how to manage your business life more effectively: your team, your investors, your customers and your vendors.
OYB 04: Design Thinking for Small Businesses and Entrepeneurs

Being successful in business means being able to adjust to change in customers, advertisers, products and so much more. Design Thinking is a framework for working with change to achieve business success.
